The Overhead People Sensor is installed in passageways to monitor movement and provide a foolproof Security Curtain which cannot be passed without causing a count or tamper. Standard Motion Detectors use Passive Infrared (PIR) and are easily fooled. The Overhead People Sensors use hundreds of intersecting active Infrared beams, which cannot be bypassed. A sophisticated Tamper system insures that any attempt to bypass by destruction of the unit causes a tamper. The daisy chain capability of the units allows installation across any width of passageway.
