General Description: Overhead Mounted electronic unit detects the
passage of People (and their direction) beneath it with great accuracy, using an array of Infrared beams reflected
off a floor mounted reflector. Simple
wiring in the ceiling offers lowest installation cost, while passive floor
reflector features no obstructions on
the floor, or in-floor wiring or construction requirements. The beams are self
aligning with a self test indication of proper operation.

Electrical
Power
Requirement: Alarm grade 12 volts DC,
maximum 0.4 ampere per sensor unit.
Wiring: Two DB 15X connectors on the unit, one male, one female, which provides a daisy
chain “link”
No Cables required, as
each unit plugs into the adjacent unit.
The end unit uses a standard DB 15X extension cable to the Controller
Unit.
Performance Specifications:
Detector area: 4 foot by 1 foot.
Multiple units can be Daisy Chained
to cover any width of corridor. (eg a 24 foot wide corridor requires 6
units). Units Daisy chained do not have
to be exactly straight: up to a 15 degree arc per 4 foot section can be made.
Speed:
Limited to physical passage of people within the detector area. Passage
of multiple persons in same or different directions at the same time are
reported correctly.
Operating Range, Physical: 8 to 14 foot standard. Above 14 foot height with special order.
(Specify when ordering if ceiling is 8 to 12 or 11 to 14 foot range).
Tailgate rating: Better than 2 inches.
Baggage ignore and Self Test indicator features are standard.

Function: Compatible to CrowdCounter’s
standard Interface system, which is compatible to all Form C relay contact

available in TriColor (red, green, yellow) package in standard electrical
switch box housing )
